Associated Estates Cares

The Associated Estates Cares program was implemented to foster our culture of caring and to support the Company’s commitment to the communities in which we do business. We believe this commitment exemplifies our leadership in our markets, while instilling workplace pride and a sense of responsibility as our employees serve as ambassadors in the neighborhoods where we live and work. Through this program and the goodwill of our employees, Associated Estates has been able to generously contribute thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to charitable programs each year.

At Associated Estates, we believe in donating time and resources to both the large and small charitable organizations that are most meaningful to our key constituents in order to maximize our impact in the community. Some common examples of our annual Cares programs, include:

  • Annual company-wide support of two or three national non-profit organizations (in 2008, it was United Way and Adopt a Platoon).
  • Volunteerism and support of local community non-profit organizations by employees at our properties and regional offices.
  • Participation by management level employees on non-profit and local agency Boards within each region.

Over the years, our employees have done it all. We've actively participated in such campaigns as collecting clothing and blankets for the homeless, holding toy and school supply drives for local children's shelters, gathering groceries for neighborhood food banks, holding pet adoption events, providing aid to those affected by natural disasters, and so much more. In short, we bike, walk, run, cook, sew, serve, build, read, speak, and believe in making a difference
